Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 6 October 2026
1. Who we are
The DOT Project by Kabeer ("DOT", "we", "us") is run by Kabegrip Design and Engineering, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. These terms apply when you use this website, create a student account, or join a DOT session. By doing any of these you agree to them, and to our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Who can sign up
You can create your own account only if you are 18 or older. Students under 18 join DOT through their school or college, which arranges the session and collects consent from a parent or guardian before sharing any details with us. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18 without that consent, we will close it.
3. Your account
- Give your real name and contact details, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password private. Your account is for you only; do not share it.
- Tell us at thedotproject@gmail.com straight away if you think someone else has used it.
4. Sessions and how they are delivered
DOT runs single-session classes, usually 2 to 3 hours long, in person on campus or online. Each session's topic, date, time and format are shared when you book, or in the quotation for an institution. Your seat is confirmed once we confirm your booking or payment, and you then receive the joining details by email, WhatsApp or through your institution. Nothing physical is shipped. We may change a session's speaker, venue or format when we need to, and we will tell you before the session if we do.
5. Fees and payment
The fee for a session is shown before you pay, or set in the quotation we send your institution. Online payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your card or UPI details. Fees are in Indian rupees and include any applicable taxes unless the quotation says otherwise. Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
6. Using the community, portfolio and uploads
Be respectful, and only post what you have the right to share. You must not:
- harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against anyone;
- post anything unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or that invades someone's privacy;
- copy someone else's work and present it as your own, or submit work that infringes copyright or trademarks;
- spam, advertise without permission, or share malware or harmful links;
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site.
We may remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend accounts that keep doing so.
7. Who owns what
Session material, slides, worksheets, the DOT name and this website belong to DOT or the people who licensed them to us. You may use them for your own learning, but not copy, resell or republish them.
Your ideas, assignments, portfolio and posts stay yours. You give DOT permission to store and display them inside the platform so that mentors and, where you choose, other students can see them. We will only show your work outside the platform, for example in our marketing, if you agree first.
8. Other websites and services
The site links to and uses services run by others, such as Razorpay, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and Instagram. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for their content.
9. Suspension and closing your account
You can ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, misuses the site, or is used for fraud. Where it is fair to do so, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to respond.
10. No guarantees
Our sessions teach skills and ways of thinking. We do our best to make them useful, but we do not guarantee any particular result, such as a job, an internship, funding, a patent or a successful startup. The site is provided "as is", and we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.
11. Limit of our liability
As far as the law allows, DOT is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost opportunities, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the session the claim relates to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
12. Your responsibility
If you break these terms or the law while using the site, and someone makes a claim against DOT because of it, you agree to cover the reasonable costs that DOT has to pay as a result.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute cannot be resolved by talking to us first, the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. Grievance officer
For complaints about the site, a session or content on the platform, contact our grievance officer, Mohammed Kabeer, at thedotproject@gmail.com. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add new kinds of sessions. We will change the date at the top, and if the change is significant we will tell account holders by email before it applies.
